Jammu | : The Cluster University of Jammu Kabaddi (Men) team is all set to make its maiden appearance in the North Zone Inter-University Kabaddi Tournament to be held at Galgotias University, Noida. This participation marks a proud and historic moment as it is the first-ever team from Cluster University of Jammu to compete in an inter-university tournament during the academic session 2025–26.
The achievement has been made possible under the visionary leadership and encouragement of Prof. K.S. Chandersekar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu, who has been instrumental in fostering a strong sports culture within the university.
On this occasion, Ms. Ankur Mahajan (JKAS), Registrar; Prof. D.S. Manhas, Dean Student Welfare; and Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director, Physical Education and Sports, graced the flag-off ceremony. They congratulated the players and extended their best wishes for the tournament, inspiring them to perform with dedication, discipline, and team spirit.
The participation of the Kabaddi team in this prestigious event signifies a major stride towards promoting sports excellence and providing students with national-level exposure. The University community expressed confidence that the team will display outstanding performance and bring laurels to Cluster University of Jammu.
