Srinagar | : Police on Saturday arrested three drug peddlers in Sopore and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Police said that during a naka checking at Sangri Top three suspects traveling on a motorcycle with the registration no PB07BB-7763 were intercepted by it and identified as Maqsood Ahmad Lone, Riyaz Ahmad Dangroo, and Syed Ahmad Khan, all of whom were found in possession of a significant quantity of contraband substances. Stating that suspects were taken to the police station, and the motorcycle used in the crime was also seized Police in its statement further said that a case under FIR No. 213/2025 was registered at Police Station Sopore besides initiating further investigation currently underway to explore the suspects’ connections to drug trafficking. Police in its statement also reiterated its commitment to zero-tolerance policy towards drug-related offenses for eradicating the drug menace and protect the youth from its harmful effects.
