Srinagar | : The Wadies Hindi Shiksha Samiti, which has been at the forefront of promoting the Hindi language in the Kashmir Valley, continued its tradition of honouring meritorious students this year as well. For the last 11 years, the Samiti has consistently recognised students securing high marks in Hindi in the J&K Board of School Education examinations.
This year’s results brought a moment of special pride for the community, as out of the top ten positions in the Valley, eight were secured by girl students—a remarkable achievement warmly acknowledged at the ceremony.
At a well-attended felicitation programme, the top achievers were presented with cash rewards and certificates of appreciation. The first position holder received ₹10,000, while the second and third rank holders were awarded ₹7,000 and ₹5,000 respectively. In addition, each successful student was given a certificate of appreciation along with ₹1,000 as encouragement.
Speaking on the occasion, President of the Samiti, Nasreen Ali Nidh congratulated the achievers and their families. “Our aim is not just to reward academic excellence but to inspire young learners to develop a deeper interest in Hindi language and literature,” she said. The Samiti expressed confidence that these students will carve out a brighter future for themselves while bringing pride to both society and the nation.
