Srinagar | : Police on Thursday said that it has attached the property of a terrorist handler in Palpora village of Kralgund.

In a statement issued here on Thursday Police said that property belonging to one Nazir Ahmad Ganai, a member of the JKNOP, who is reportedly operating from Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PoK) has been attached as he is involved in guiding terrorist activities in Handwara. This action follows the investigation of FIR No 73/2011 at Police Station Kralgund, which confirmed Ganai’s role in supporting terrorism. The police in its statement said  that this property attachment is part of their legal efforts to combat terrorist handlers and anti-national elements, aiming to dismantle the support structures of terrorist organizations. Stating that such measures are intended to deter unlawful activities and promote peace and order in the region Police in its statement appealed people to assist it in maintaining peace and refrain from providing support to individuals or groups that threaten national security, warning therein that that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found aiding such activities.
