Preparation of Vision Document initiated across 104 Tribal Villages under Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan

Rajouri | :  On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, Gram Sabhas were held Thursday across 104 tribal villages of Rajouri district with a special focus on preparing Vision Documents under the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan.

The initiative is aimed at ensuring participatory planning and fostering holistic development of tribal communities.

Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma attended the Special Gram Sabha at Village Argi. He interacted with the local residents and underlined the importance of community-driven development, stressing that the aspirations of the people must remain at the core of planning processes. He encouraged villagers to actively contribute in formulating the vision documents to address their priority developmental needs.

The DC said that the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan aims to empower the tribal communities through convergence of schemes, participatory vision planning and creation of sustainable livelihood opportunities. He added that these Gram Sabhas will play a pivotal role in preparing a roadmap for tribal empowerment and inclusive growth.

In addition, Gram Sabhas were convened across all 312 Panchayats of the 19 Blocks of Rajouri district to mark Gandhi Jayanti. The agenda included the preparation of Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDP) and the formulation of the MGNREGA Labour Budget for the financial year 2026–27.

The district-wide exercise not only commemorated Gandhi Jayanti with constructive community participation but also reinforced the spirit of grassroots democracy, aligning with the vision of inclusive growth and sustainable rural development.
