Srinagar: Kashmir Horizon has expressed deep condolences on the sad demise of Muhtarma Jaleela Sahiba, an illustrious daughter of a noble family known for her pious Islamic way of life, who passed away on Thursday morning.
Though she had no children of her own, she was compassionately cared for by the children of her sister, including SGM Andrabi, a former Superintendent of Police; N.D. Andrabi, a former KAS officer; Tahir Andrabi, a former official of the State Bank of India; and Syed Sonnaullah Andrabi, a serving functionary in the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department. Her Nimaz-e-Jinazah was attended by a large number of people from all walks of life, reflecting the respect and affection she commanded in the community. Remembering her, former Superintendent of Police SGM Andrabi the head of the bereaved family said, “She lived a life of simplicity and devotion. Her guidance and prayers shaped us throughout our lives.” N.D. Andrabi, another member of bereaved family while recalling her selfless nature, said “She was an embodiment of patience and compassion. Even without children of her own, she was like a mother to us.” Community members also spoke about her legacy. A local resident of Kreeri remarked, “Muhtarma Jaleela Sahiba was respected by everyone. Her kindness and commitment to Islamic values were exemplary.” Family sources said that the Chahrum (fourth-day prayers) will be observed on Sunday, October 5, at her ancestral residence in Kreeri. Kashmir Horizon, while sharing grief with the bereaved family, prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
