‘RSS Pursued Grand Goal Of Nation-Building Since Day One’, Says PM Modi At RSS Centenary Meet

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday commended the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) during its centenary celebrations in New Delhi, highlighting its enduring commitment to nation-building and the positive impact it has had on countless lives.
Addressing centenary meet of RSS in the national capital Prime Minister drew a parallel between the flourishing of civilizations along rivers and the growth fostered by the RSS since its inception. Modi emphasized that the founding of the RSS on Vijayadashami, a festival symbolizing the triumph of good over evil, was significant and intentional.
In his address, Prime Minister paid homage to the RSS’s founder, Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, acknowledging his dedication to national service. Modi expressed gratitude for the opportunity to witness the centenary of the organization and extended his best wishes to the millions of volunteers involved in its mission. He also unveiled a commemorative postage stamp and a Rs 100 coin, which features the National Emblem and an image of Bharat Mata, marking a historic representation of Bharat Mata on Indian currency.
Modi noted that the various sub-organizations within the RSS operate harmoniously, each contributing to different aspects of life while maintaining a unified goal of prioritizing the nation. He reiterated that the essence of all RSS units is centered around the principle of “Nation First.” Founded in 1925 in Nagpur, Maharashtra, the RSS aims to promote cultural awareness, discipline, service, and social responsibility among citizens.
