Srinagar |: Police on Wednesday conducted cleanliness drives under the initiative “Seva Parv 2025” in Baramulla, Bandipora, and Handwara, promoting civic responsibility and environmental awareness.
In Baramulla, the drive took place at the Range Police Headquarters and District Police Lines, led by senior officials including DIG North Kashmir Range Maqsood-ul-Zaman. The event emphasized the importance of hygiene and environmental cleanliness, with police personnel actively participating in cleaning efforts and waste disposal. Officers highlighted that cleanliness is essential for healthy living and community well-being, committing to ongoing initiatives under the Seva Parv 2025 program. In Bandipora, a Swachhta Abhiyaan was organized at the District Police Lines and Headquarters, led by Senior Superintendent of Police Harmeet Singh Mehta. The drive saw enthusiastic participation from officers of various ranks, united in their commitment to public service and cleanliness. In Handwara, the drive commenced at Police Station Vilgam and covered key public areas, with police, CRPF personnel, and civil society members collaborating to clean streets and promote eco-friendly practices. Addressing the event Police officers emphasized that cleanliness is a continuous mission requiring collective responsibility, highlighting the significance of waste management and community cooperation for sustainable living.
