Jammu | : The Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) has gained international acclaim, with two faculty members recognized among the top 2% of scientists globally, as per the 2025 database from Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier. Dr. Biplab K. Maiti, an Assistant Professor of Chemistry, specializes in Bioinorganic Chemistry, focusing on the role of metal ions in biological systems and their implications for human health. He has published 42 research papers in high-impact journals, contributing significantly to the field. Dr. Vinod Kumar, an Assistant Professor of Botany at the Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, has an impressive academic portfolio, including over 150 publications in leading international journals, four edited books with Elsevier and Wiley, and one patent. His research impact is notable, with over 12,000 citations on Google Scholar, an h-index of 48, and an i10-index of 122, solidifying his position among the world’s top scientists. Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. S. Chandrasekar commended the faculty members, stating that their inclusion in the Stanford–Elsevier database reflects CLUJ’s growing research capabilities.
