Srinagar | : Police on Monday said that it has apprehended a fraudster and proclaimed offender Zubair Ahmad Ganie alias Pina alias Mansoor Ganie, S/o Abdul Rashid Ganie R/o Rohama Rafiabadin Sopore, Stating there in that he was evading arrest for a long period of time.
In a statement issued here on Monday Police said that the accused was wanted in multiple fraud and cheating cases, adding there in that 9 non-bailable warrants have been already issued by various Courts across Jammu & Kashmir, including courts at Baramulla, Budgam, Kupwara, Anantnag, Pulwama, Srinagar, and Kulgam.
Stating that the accused had also been declared a proclaimed offender in four cases by different courts, including the Court of JMIC Dangiwacha, and had been on the run despite repeated legal action, Police in its statement further said that with this arrest, Police has ensured that a long-time absconder and habitual fraudster is finally brought to justice.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement police claimed credit for ensuring that no offender, no matter how long they evade, escape from the law, adding therein that strict action will continue against such individuals to uphold the rule of law and protect the public from fraudulent activities.
