Kulgam| :  As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv, Udyam YUVA Fest was organized Saturday at Kulgam under Mission YUVA, aiming to inspire, educate, and engage the youth in the fields of entrepreneurship, innovation, and skill development.

The program was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, who underscored the importance of empowering youth to become self-reliant, confident, and future-ready. He encouraged the youth to explore emerging avenues of self-employment and innovation and to take charge of their careers with purpose and ambition.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, aspiring entrepreneurs, and job seekers from across the district. Key speakers included Principal Government Polytechnic Kulgam, Career Counselling Officer District Employment & Counselling Centre (DE&CC) Kulgam, District Nodal Officer (DNO) from JKEDI, successful entrepreneurs, and officials from various departments.

During the fest, speakers deliberated on a range of themes viz. importance of entrepreneurship as a driver of local economic development, career planning and the role of counselling in helping youth make informed decisions, skill development and vocational training as tools for employability, challenges and opportunities in starting a business, and inspirational journeys of local entrepreneurs who have carved a niche in their respective fields.

Interactive sessions and open-floor discussions allowed participants to seek guidance, share ideas, and receive mentorship from experienced professionals and business leaders.

Trophies, certificates, and mementos were presented by the ADDC and other dignitaries as a mark of encouragement and appreciation to the winners of various competitions held on Ist day of the Fest.

Udyam YUVA Fest provided a platform for the youth of Kulgam to connect, collaborate, and cultivate the mindset needed for self-driven success. The event reaffirmed the Govt’s commitment to supporting the youth through continuous engagement, awareness, and opportunities aligned with the broader vision of Mission YUVA.
