Srinagar | :Police on Saturday said that it has attached property belonging to a drug peddler under Section 68-F(1) of the NDPS Act here in Anantnag.
In a statement issued here on Saturday police said that the attached property, located at Chowgam Uttersoo, belongs to one Bashir Ahmad Mantoo S/o Mohammad Jamal Mantoo R/o Chowgam attached in Case FIR No. 64/2022 U/S 8/20-15 NDPS Act of P/S Uttersoo, Stating therein further that details of the attached assets include Doble-storey residential house, Cowshed and vehicle (Sumo) bearing registration number JK03D-0475 having an estimated market value of ₹20,00000/-.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement police said that the attachment order has been submitted to the competent authority for confirmation as per legal procedure, reiterating therein its commitment to dismantle the drug menace and take strict action against those involved in its trade.
