During the meetings, Prof. Khan highlighted significant achievements, including the NAAC A++ accreditation and impressive rankings in the NIRF 2025, where KU secured the 8th position among State Public Universities and 34th overall. The discussions encompassed various academic and administrative matters affecting the university and its affiliated colleges. Key decisions included the establishment of an Institute of Nursing & Paramedical Sciences at the Kupwara Campus and the formation of high-level committees to develop Perspective Plans for satellite campuses, aligning with the University’s Centenary Vision 2047. These plans aim to enhance academic growth, research quality, infrastructure sustainability, energy conservation, and job creation. A policy for the admission of international students was also adopted, alongside approvals for faculty appointments, promotions, and new welfare schemes for employees. The meetings were attended by esteemed academicians and administrators, who acknowledged the university’s initiatives in employee welfare, student employability, quality assurance, and governance transparency. In her closing remarks, Prof. Khan expressed gratitude to the Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor, and government departments for their support, reaffirming the university’s commitment to transparency, meritocracy, and academic excellence.
