Srinagar: Below is the weeklong timeline of key engagements of J&K Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah witnessed within and outside J&K this week:-
1. LG Sinha – Call for Industrial Investment: On September 21, 2025, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha urged industrial houses and MSMEs to consider investing in Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking at the 4th Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Regional Council meeting in Srinagar, he highlighted the region’s potential for economic growth and job creation.
2. CM Omar – Flood Relief Initiatives: On September 25, 2025, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited flood-affected areas in Kathua and Reasi. He met with affected families and assured them of timely government support, while directing district administrations to expedite relief and rehabilitation efforts.
3. LG Sinha – Meeting With Indo-Australian CSR Delegation: On September 21, an Indo-Australian delegation led by Sajid N. Saiyed met LG Manoj Sinha in Srinagar. The delegation presented proposed Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives aimed at sustainable development in Jammu and Kashmir, and the LG assured cooperation for their implementation.
