Govt Polytechnic Reasi hosts 2-day Udyam Yuva Fest

Reasi| :  A two-day youth empowerment fest was organised Saturday by the Department of Skill Development and Employment here at Government Polytechnic Reasi.

The Udyam Yuva Fest witnessed Quiz competition, Speech competition, painting and Essay writing competitions, providing students a platform to showcase their talent, creativity and innovative ideas.

The Chief Guest for Saturday’s programme was ADDC Sukhdev Singh Sambyal.

Among others present included Principal Govt. Polytechnic Reasi Er Arun Bangotra; Superintendent ITI Reasi Rajesh Bansotraand  District officer JUDA Jaffer Azad. The event began with lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a soulful recitation of Saraswati Vandana by students that set a serene and inspiring tone for the day.

The Students presented a scintillating cultural programme, featuring thought-provoking skits on “Nasha Mukt Bharat” and “Mission Yuva Bharat.”

Addressing the students, the Chief Guest delivered an insightful address on Mission YUVA and emphasized creating an encouraging environment where the youth can feel confident to take risks, innovate and build businesses. His words inspired the participants by offering a comprehensive overview of the project and emphasizing the importance of the culture of entrepreneurship. He appreciated the College administration for executing the project and generating widespread entrepreneurial impact.

Earlier, the Principal Er Arun Bangotra, in his welcome address, shed light on the core concept of Mission Yuva and appreciated the active participation of students in the two day fest. He advised them to continue engaging in such constructive activities which nurture confidence and a spirit of innovation.

Later, a felicitation ceremony was held, where certificates were awarded to winners of different competitions and participants of the 10 day Mission Yuva capacity building Hybrid Training Courses.

The Udyam Yuva fest witnessed massive participation of 196 students in Quiz competition, 67 in Painting competition, 41 in Essay competition and 30 in Speech competition. The competitions reflected the enthusiasm of the youth and their commitment towards learning and self-expression.

Preeti Sharma won top spot in Quiz competition, while 2nd   position went to Vikram Singh and 3rd to Shuriti Sharma.

In Essay Competition, Diksha Devi bagged first position, while 2nd and 3rd Positions went to Nikhil Kumar and Tanish Bharti.

The winner of the speech competition was PryanshManontra, while Pooja Devi and Satyam Sharma ended as 1st and 2nd runner ups. First Position for the Painting Competition was bagged by Anil Kumar, 2nd by Nazia Akhter and 3rd by Preeti Sharma.

The winners and runners up were provided certificates and attractive cash prizes of Rs.5000/-, Rs.3000/- and Rs.2000/ respectively.

Other highlight of the event was the display of innovative project models by students, which were highly appreciated by ADDC Reasi. A special talk on skill development and digital literacy was delivered by Ritu Devi from the Social Welfare Department, while a career counseling session on employment opportunities was conducted by Employment Officer Ajay Kumar.

Sunil Kumar gave a detailed presentation on various scholarship schemes for students.

The event concluded on a high note, leaving the students inspired, motivated and better informed about the opportunities and responsibilities that lie ahead. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Incharge Training and Placement cell Ajay Dogra.
