Awantipora | : The Department of Economics at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) hosted an expert talk focused on “Writing an Effective Research Proposal for Major Grants and International Funding,” led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Shakil A. Romshoo.
Drawing from his extensive experience in securing significant research grants, Prof. Romshoo emphasized the importance of aligning academic research with the National Education Policy (NEP-2020), national priorities, and urgent global issues such as climate change and human health. He underscored the necessity of multidisciplinary collaborations, impactful research design, and the effective presentation of proposals as critical factors in obtaining major funding. Additionally, Prof. Romshoo highlighted the significance of sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence in guiding future research directions.
