Dulloo stresses on quality education, improved service delivery in key sectors

Anantnag: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo on Saturday visited Anantnag to review the district’s developmental progress and the implementation of various government schemes. The meeting, held at Dak Bangalow Khanabal, was attended among others by Deputy Commissioner, Principal of GMC Anantnag, and other district officers.
At the meeting the Deputy Commissioner provided an overview of the developmental landscape, highlighting the progress of initiatives like Mission Yuva, NMBA, and TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, as well as the status of beneficiary schemes across different departments. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary emphasized the importance of effective implementation and saturation of Central and UT-sponsored schemes, particularly in Health, Education, Social Welfare, Horticulture, and Agriculture. He underscored the need for timely execution to ensure that essential benefits reach the community. While acknowledging the progress in infrastructure within health and education, he stressed the necessity of prioritizing quality in these sectors for further improvement. The Chief Secretary also urged the officers to enhance the implementation of self-employment schemes and called on banks to facilitate easier credit lending to create meaningful job opportunities for youth. Recognizing the district’s agricultural potential, he encouraged departments to focus on increasing productivity and establishing sustainable units to foster livelihoods for the local youth.
