Doda | :  On the 10th day of the ongoing “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar” campaign, the Health Department Doda, under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Om Kumar organized a series of health screening-cum-awareness camps  in different parts of the district.

The objective of the initiative was to provide quality healthcare services to people in far-flung and underserved areas, with a special focus on women’s health, maternal and child care, preventive healthcare, and community awareness.

At the camps, services like ANC check-ups, general health examinations, NCD and Hb screenings were provided. Awareness sessions on health, hygiene, and menstrual hygiene were also conducted, along with distribution of free of cost medicines among the beneficiaries.

A plantation drive was also organized at PHC Assar by BMO Dr. Syed Mohammad Ismail in collaboration with officials from the Forest Department highlighting the link between environment and health.

The health camps were successfully conducted at Village Lanchan, Kidhar, Dudhote, Sheyal and other locations across the district ensuring wide community participation and outreach. The activities were closely monitored and supervised by the respective Block Medical Officers.
