Srinagar | : The Rajbhasha Cell of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar hosted a seminar titled “Rozgaar Ke Kshetra Mein Hindi” as part of the Hindi Pakhwada celebrations.
Prakash Chandra Mishra, Hindi Officer at MNNIT Allahabad, served as the main resource person, discussing the significance of Hindi in the employment sector and its role in enhancing accessibility, inclusivity, and efficiency in professional settings. The seminar was conducted online, primarily targeting the non-teaching ministerial staff of NIT Srinagar, with the goal of raising awareness about the importance of using Hindi in official communications. Director Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia commended the Rajbhasha Cell for organizing the event and assured ongoing administrative support for similar initiatives. Registrar Prof. Atikur Rehman praised the efforts to promote Hindi on campus, highlighting its importance for effective communication and inclusivity within government institutions. He encouraged staff participation, emphasizing that promoting Hindi is essential for cultural and administrative cohesion. Mr. Mohammad Iqbal Dar, Assistant Registrar and Hindi Teaching & Training Supervisor, stressed the necessity of continuous training to boost staff confidence in using Hindi for administrative tasks, advocating for practical workshops to bridge the gap between policy and practice. Dr. R.P. Shukla, In-Charge Hindi Officer, welcomed participants and outlined the Rajbhasha Cell’s activities, noting significant progress in promoting Hindi on campus. He expressed gratitude to the administration for their support. The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where participants raised practical questions regarding the use of Hindi in official documentation, note-taking, and overcoming language hesitance.
