Srinagar | : Police on Thursday conducted awareness programmes regarding the New Criminal Laws in the districts of Sopore and Pulwama.
In Pulwama, the initiative took place at the Women’s Police Station, engaging students from the Women’s Degree College, along with similar sessions held at various schools and colleges throughout the district. In Sopore, a Written and Quiz Competition focused on the New Criminal Laws was organized at Government Degree College, Hadipora Rafiabad. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, who demonstrated their knowledge and interest in the new legal framework. Key lectures were delivered by Dr. Shameem Ahmed Dar, Principal of GDC Hadipora, and Advocate Umer Rafiabadi, who emphasized important provisions and individual rights under the new laws. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony honoring outstanding participants. Students were educated about their rights and responsibilities, motivating them to actively support law enforcement initiatives.
