Mission Dir Dairy Dev J&K conducts extensive visit to Reasi Distt

Reasi | :  To implement the community welfare action plan under the aegis of ‘Sewa Parv’ campaign, Mission Director Dairy Development (J&K), Er. Narinder Singh Bali undertook an extensive tour of Reasi District Monday. He was accompanied by Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Dr. R. K. Kaith.

The MD attended an awareness-cum-training camp at the Veterinary Dispensary, Katra organized to promote Dairy Development, HADP initiatives and other departmental schemes. The event was attended by Pashu Shakis, A-Helps, MAITRIs, dairy farmers, SHGs and students.

Speaking at the event, Narinder Singh Bali highlighted the potential of the dairy sector as a viable source of employment. He encouraged dairy farmers to venture into processing, packaging, branding and marketing of dairy products to increase their income.

The Mission Director also visited already established dairy units, including the unit of Gopal Singh at Agharjitto. He interacted with beneficiaries and progressive farmers who have received subsidies under departmental schemes. Participants, including Pashu Shakis, A-Helps and MAITRIs, were advised to upload their field activities to claim incentives.

The event was attended by Veterinary Assistant Surgeons from Panthal and Banganga, along with other field staff, ensuring active participation and dissemination of knowledge at the grassroots level.
