Kishtwar showcases unity in action with cleanliness, health, social welfare initiatives on Day 06 of Sewa Parv

Kishtwar | :  As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv 2025 campaign, the District Administration Kishtwar, under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma organised a series of impactful activities and awareness programs across the District, Monday.

The activities included wall painting and other beautification initiatives in schools, environmental conservation initiatives, cleanliness drives, health, nutrition and community welfare camps.

The Municipal Council Kishtwar spearheaded a mega cleanliness drive at Model Government Higher Secondary School Boys. In addition, awareness camps were organised for street vendors regarding registration under the PM SVANidhi Scheme, along with door-to-door campaigns on Swachhta, waste segregation and discouraging single-use plastic. Citizens were encouraged to contribute towards building a cleaner, greener and healthier society. An Information Education and Communication (IEC) drive on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was held at Government High School Kuchalna- Zone Dool, while a wall painting and beautification competition themed “Clean India & Environment” was organized at Government High School Gahan.

The ICDS Department organized multiple activities across all Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) under POSHAN Maah. These included ECCE sessions through storytelling and puppet shows, parent-focused activities on early stimulation of children aged 0–3 years, display of food baskets and recommended diets to promote healthy eating practices.

The Health Department also organized the medical camps across the district under the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, focusing on women’s health and family well-being.

Similar activities were organised across various sub-divisions, tehsils and blocks, ensuring widespread community participation and awareness generation.
