Ganderbal | : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore Saturday chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee (DLC) to review and approve cases under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and the Jammu & Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP), at the VC Room of the DC Office.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on the cases received from Agriculture and allied departments under both schemes.
After thorough discussions, the Committee approved 237 cases under HADP pertaining to Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry and Horticulture Produce and Marketing (HP&M). Similarly, 213 cases under JKCIP relating to Agriculture, Fisheries, Sheep Husbandry, and Horticulture sectors were also cleared.
DC directed concerned officers to ensure speedy implementation of approved cases and instructed banks to expedite sanctioning so that benefits reach the applicants at the earliest.
He stressed on motivating applicants to establish viable projects, thereby realizing the core objectives of HADP and JKCIP on the ground.
Emphasizing widespread awareness, DC asked the departments to intensify IEC campaigns across all blocks, with special focus on Gund block, to ensure maximum coverage of eligible beneficiaries.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, GM DIC, ACR, ACD, DSHO, CAO, CAHO, CHO, LDM and other committee members.
