CS emphasizes on saturation of beneficiary schemes, enhanced service delivery in health, education, other sectors
Baramulla : Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo conducted a comprehensive visit to Baramulla to assess the district’s developmental progress.
Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Minga Sherpa and other officials, Chief Secretary inaugurated the Sewa Parv Mela at Dak Bungalow Baramulla, part of a nationwide campaign aimed at enhancing public service delivery. The event featured stalls from various departments, including Health, Education, and Agriculture, providing citizens with immediate access to government schemes and welfare initiatives. During the Mela, the Chief Secretary distributed sanction letters to beneficiaries under Mission YUVA, supporting young entrepreneurs and farmers, and provided retrofitted scooties to specially-abled individuals along with nutritional kits for TB patients, highlighting the government’s commitment to inclusive development. In a subsequent meeting, Dulloo reviewed the district’s developmental landscape, focusing on the status of ongoing projects and government schemes across sectors such as Public Works, Health, and Education. He emphasized the importance of effective implementation of Centrally and UT-sponsored schemes to enhance livelihoods and maximize benefits for the community. Notably, he pointed out the need to shift focus from infrastructure investment to improving service delivery in health and education sectors. The visit concluded with a plantation drive at Dak Bungalow Baramulla, reinforcing the government’s dedication to environmental sustainability as part of the Seva Parv campaign.
