Rajouri : Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma Saturday chaired a meeting to review and finalize preparations for the holy festival of Navratri.
The meeting focused on ensuring comprehensive arrangements for a safe and joyous celebration, including security measures, law and order, traffic management, uninterrupted essential services such as drinking water and electricity, sanitation protocols, healthcare facilities, and strict monitoring of food quality and pricing. Emphasis was laid on close coordination among all departments to ensure seamless execution of the plans.
The Jal Shakti and Power Development Departments were specifically directed to ensure uninterrupted water and electricity supply during the festive days. The Fire and Emergency Department was asked to remain fully prepared, with fire tenders kept on standby to handle any eventuality.
The Municipal Committee Rajouri was instructed to maintain high standards of cleanliness across the town, highlighting the importance of hygiene during public gatherings. The Health Department was directed to make all necessary medical facilities readily available to address any unforeseen health emergencies.
Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma emphasized the need for collective efforts and coordination among all stakeholders to ensure a safe, orderly, and vibrant celebration across the district.
The meeting was attended by ADC Rajouri, Chander Prakash; ASP, Bikram Kumar; EXEN PDD Rajouri, Mohd Rashid; AD FCS&CA, Rohit Kumar; AD Tourism, Mumtaz; Food Safety Officer, and other concerned officials. President of Beopar Mandal, Rajesh Gupta, along with other non-official members, were also present.
ADC Nowshera, Pritam Lal Thapa; ADC Koteranka, Dil Mir; ADC Kalakote, Mohd Tanvir; and SDM Thanamandi, Abid Hussain, participated via virtual mode.
