Srinagar |: The students from Rainbow International School on Thursday visited Police Station Shopian. They interacted with the Dy SP Hqrs Shopian, SHO Shopian and police station staff gaining valuable insights into police functioning, law enforcement processes and community policing.
During the visit, students were also sensitized about the new criminal laws recently introduced in the country. Officers explained key changes in the legal framework, emphasizing the rights and responsibilities of citizens, especially the youth. The session helped enhance legal awareness and promote informed citizenship among the students. The students toured various sections of the police station, including FIR registration, investigation units and control rooms. They also visited the women cell, where they interacted with lady officers and learned about handling gender-sensitive cases and women’s safety measures.
