Samba : A comprehensive review meeting was convened Wednesday to assess the physical and financial progress of ongoing and new Tourism development works taken up under Capex Budget in different districts of Jammu Province.
The meeting was chaired by Director Tourism Jammu Vikas Gupta and attended by Superintending Engineers/Executive Engineers of Samba, Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch Districts
Dr. Vikas Gupta directed all Executing Agencies to intensify efforts and maximize funds utilization released against approved outlay for ongoing and new works before the closure of the current financial year.
Special focus was laid on expediting the tendering of newly sanctioned projects for which Administrative Approval has been accorded so that funds released in the current financial year can be utilized judiciously. Besides, the Assistant Directors of four districts were directed to actively follow the progress of the project(s) in their respective jurisdictions. They were also directed to identify and address any additional requirements necessary to facilitate the timely completion of the ongoing works.
The meeting concluded with a strong emphasis on inter-departmental coordination and collective efforts to achieve the targets set under the Plan.
