ADC visits Fruit Mandi Kulgam; meets stakeholders, assures resolution of issues

Kulgam : On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Viqar Ahmad Giri today visited fruit mandi Kulgam and held a meeting with the representatives of Fruit Growers Association, transporters representatives and concerned officers.
The aim of the meeting was to address the grievances of the Fruit Traders Association.
The fruit traders, while highlighting the issues confronting them, demanded adequate transport facility, besides an end to unprecedented hike in transportation of fruit, so that fruit trade will not be affected.
While giving patient hearing to the demands of fruit growers, ADC gave assurance to the representatives and said every step will be taken to resolve their problem.
He directed the transport department for regulation and availability of transport facilities in the district.
Transport officials, AGMO, Horticulture Development Officer, President Fruit Mandi Kulgam, Transporters and other concerned were present on the occasion.
