Jammu : Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo on Tuesday convened a high-level meeting to assess the progress of various flagship schemes across key departments, including Housing & Urban Development, Rural Development, School Education, Social Welfare, Health & Medical Education, Revenue, Skill Development, Industries & Commerce, and Cooperatives. The meeting was attended by senior officials, including the Additional Chief Secretary of the Planning Development & Monitoring Department, to evaluate both physical and financial advancements of the schemes against their objectives and timelines.
On Housing & Urban Development Department, the review focused on AMRUT 2.0 projects, which include 65 water supply schemes, three sewerage management projects, and 22 water body rejuvenation initiatives. Discussions also covered the development of GIS-based master plans, the Jal Hi Amrit initiative, PMAY-U 2.0, and sanitation efforts under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban). For the Rural Development Department, the meeting highlighted livelihood generation efforts under the Rural Livelihood Mission, particularly the initiative to transform potential groups into “Lakhpati Didis.” Progress on the Swachh Bharat Mission-Grameen was also reviewed, addressing solid and liquid waste management, grey water management, and the establishment of Gobardhan units. In the School Education Department, the implementation of the PM SHRI scheme was evaluated, which aims to transform 396 schools by introducing Atal Tinkering Labs, STEM and Robotics Labs, ICT facilities, smart classrooms, and vocational education. The Social Welfare Department’s initiatives, including the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Poshan 2.0, and Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana, were also discussed. The Chief Secretary reviewed the Health & Medical Education Department’s progress on the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and the completion of AIIMS Awantipora. In the Revenue Department, the assessment included the SVAMITVA scheme for property card generation, land record digitization, and cadastral map geo-referencing. The Skill Development Department’s progress on the PM Vishwakarma scheme and the National Scheme for ITI Upgradation was examined, with a directive to increase loan disbursement under PM Vishwakarma to one lakh beneficiaries. The meeting also addressed the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme, which focuses on MSME formalization and skill development. Emphasizing outcome-oriented governance, the Chief Secretary urged officers to ensure regular monitoring and timely execution of these schemes, stressing the importance of achieving the original objectives to maximize benefits for citizens.
