Poonch: The ‘Aadi-Karma Abhiyan’ entered a crucial new phase in Poonch District Tuesday with the launch of Block-Process Labs across all 11 blocks of the District.
The two-day training initiative starting from Tuesday represents the subsequent step in a cascading training model, following earlier state and district-level sessions.
Organized by the Rural Development Department (RDD), the labs are being supervised by the respective Block Development Officer (BDO) acting as the nodal officer for the event.
The labs have gathered ‘Aadi-Karmyogis’—frontline government officials from key line departments including Education, Health, ICDS, Revenue, Forest, RDD, Jal Shakti, PDD, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Horticulture.
With the abhiyan covering 58 revenue villages in the district, a minimum of seven Aadi-Karmyogis from each village are participating at their designated Block Headquarters.
This grassroots training is part of a structured bottom to top approach. Following these block-level labs, the training will be further replicated at the village level, with all efforts aimed at formulating concrete action plans by October 2nd.
The entire Aadi-Karma Abhiyan is being conducted under the overall guidance of Khalid Hussain, Programme Officer ICDS who serves as the Nodal Officer for the Aadi-Karmyogi initiative.
