Srinagar:: On the martyrdom anniversary of Deputy Superintendent of Police Humayun Muzammil Bhat, the Jammu and Kashmir Police paid tribute to his sacrifice during an encounter with terrorists in Kokernag, Anantnag District, on September 13, 2023.
In a post on “X” the Kashmir Zone Police highlighted his dedication and exceptional courage, noting that he led from the front despite facing significant danger. In recognition of his bravery, DySP Bhat was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra, which is India’s second-highest peacetime gallantry honor. This commemoration underscores the commitment of J&K Police to honor their fallen heroes and acknowledge their contributions to maintaining peace and security in the region.
