Srinagar : Police in Sopore on Thursday organized a seminar in collaboration with Government Degree College Sopore to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The seminar focused on the theme “Formation of India’s Bureaucracy, Role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and His Vision of India.” Speakers at the event underscored Patel’s significant contributions to the unification of over 560 princely states, his efforts in maintaining India’s territorial integrity, and his role in establishing a robust, impartial bureaucracy, often referred to as the “Steel Frame of India.” The discussions highlighted Patel’s vision for a united and self-reliant nation, emphasizing the importance of bureaucracy as a vital link between the government and the populace. The seminar was attended by notable figures, including SSP Sopore Shri Iftkhar Talib-JKPS, ADC Sopore Shabir Raina, the Principal of GDC Sopore, police department officers, faculty members, and students. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, recognizing participants for their contributions.
