Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has attached immovable property of a notorious drug peddler in Humhama area of district Budgam.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that property comprising a double-storey residential house belonging to one Sahil Yousuf Bhat S/o Mohd Yousuf Bhat R/o Humhama, has an estimated market value of around ₹50 lakhs has been attached, Stating therein that the attachment was executed under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, in connection with Case FIR No. 110/2021 registered under Sections 8/21 and 29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Budgam.
Stating that this development marks a decisive step in the broader strategy of Jammu & Kashmir Police to dismantle the financial infrastructure of narcotics networks Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement appealed people to share any information regarding drug peddling or trafficking and cooperate with it in building a drug-free society.
