Rajouri : Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) has taken another step towards strengthening its digital infrastructure and campus security. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jawaid Iqbal, along with Registrar, Abhishek Sharma distributed RFID-based identity cards to the faculty members of the University.
This is the first time that identity cards have been issued at BGSBU. The University is in the process of extending this facility to students and staff in a phased manner.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Jawaid Iqbal emphasized the University’s commitment to adopting modern technologies for the benefit of its stakeholders. Registrar Abhishek Sharma highlighted that the initiative is in line with BGSBU’s vision of creating a more secure, efficient and technology-driven campus environment.
The introduction of RFID-enabled identity cards marks a significant move towards enhancing transparency, security and digital access across the University. These smart I-Cards will not only serve as official identification but will also facilitate smoother access to various academic and administrative services on campus.
This step reflects the University’s continuous efforts to embrace digital transformation and improve the overall academic ecosystem.
