Farmers advised to resume paddy harvesting, other farm operations
Srinagar : The weatherman has forecasted fair weather conditions for Jammu and Kashmir over the next three days, with a brief chance of light rain in some areas.
Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, Director Meteorological Department (MeT), indicated that generally fair weather is expected to persist until September 12, although light rain may occur in select locations during this period. On September 13, the weather is anticipated to become generally cloudy, with potential light rain and thundershowers across many areas, particularly moderate showers in certain districts of the Jammu division. From September 14 to 15, cloudy conditions are expected to continue, along with the possibility of rain and thunderstorms in various places. The MeT has issued an advisory highlighting the risk of landslides and shooting stones in vulnerable areas. Farmers are encouraged to resume harvesting of paddy and other agricultural activities from today until the evening of September 12.
