Srinagar : Police in Kulgam on Wednesday demonstrated compassion and community service by organizing a langar (community kitchen) at Qazigund for drivers and commuters stranded due to adverse weather and traffic disruptions on the Srinagar–Jammu National Highway.
The initiative provided immediate relief and underscored the police force’s commitment to public welfare beyond traditional policing roles. The effort was led by SSP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal, along with Addl. SP NHW Qazigund, SDPO Qazigund, and other officials. They ensured the availability of wholesome meals and drinking water, offering much-needed respite to those affected.
