Srinagar: Police, under the Civic Action Programme 2024-25, organized medical awareness camps at Community Health Centre Yaripora and Primary Health Centre Devsar to address the issue of substance abuse.
The initiative aimed to educate the public about the detrimental effects of drug addiction and promote a collective response to this pressing challenge. The camps saw active participation from medical professionals, police personnel, and local residents. Expert doctors conducted informative sessions covering the causes, symptoms, and treatment options for drug addiction, while emphasizing the importance of early intervention and ongoing community support. During the event, DySP DAR Kulgam, alongside health professionals, underscored the significance of preventive measures against drug abuse.
