Srinagar : The Range Police Headquarters in Baramulla on Saturday conducted a one-day “Awareness-cum-Training Workshop on Financial Implementation Protocols” at the Dak Bungalow, organized under the financial unit of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
The workshop was chaired by Shakeel Maqbool, the Internal Financial Advisor for J&K Home, who led a resource team that provided comprehensive training to the participants. The event was attended by senior police officials, including DIG North Kashmir Range Maqsood-ul-Zaman and SSP District Baramulla Gurinderpal Singh, highlighting the importance of financial governance and compliance within departmental operations. Participants included Drawing & Disbursing Officers (DDOs) from various units of the Home Department across the North Kashmir Range, along with their staff, which included GeM Operators, Assistants, and Contingency Clerks, reflecting an inclusive approach to the training. The workshop focused on practical training in key aspects of departmental financial management, covering standardized billing procedures, payment protocols, and expenditure auditing methods. The interactive format facilitated in-depth discussions, emphasizing the necessity of accuracy and transparency throughout the financial processes, from billing to disbursement and auditing. By concentrating on these essential financial processes, the workshop aimed to enhance financial compliance, improve audit readiness, and promote effective resource management within the Home Department. It underscored the department’s commitment to fostering financial accountability and strengthening internal governance across all operational levels.
