Srinagar: The University of Kashmir on Friday bid farewell to Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mir, who has been appointed as the new Registrar of the Central University of Kashmir.
Dr Mir, an experienced academic administrator with a Ph.D. in Sociology, has held various significant positions throughout his career. He began as a Project Officer at the University of Kashmir and progressed to roles such as Deputy Registrar at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University and later at the University of Kashmir. His experience also includes serving as Joint Secretary at the University Grants Commission and Registrar at NIT Srinagar. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nilofer Khan commended Dr. Mir for his sincerity, professionalism, and vision, highlighting his contributions to governance and academic administration at the University of Kashmir. Dr. Mir’s legacy at the University is marked by significant advancements in these areas, and he is wished success in his new role at the Central University of Kashmir.
