Srinagar: Anand Jain, the Additional Director General of Police for Armed J&K, convened preparatory meetings at the APHQ Conference Hall in Srinagar to discuss arrangements for two significant upcoming events: Jashn-e-Dal 2025 and the Run for Unity – Kashmir Marathon 2025. Jashn-e-Dal 2025 is set to take place from September 13 to 15, 2025, at the SKICC back lawns in Srinagar.
The three-day festival will include water sports, cultural programs, and recreational competitions, with an expected participation of over 3,000 athletes from across the nation, aimed at fostering sportsmanship, youth involvement, and community engagement. The Run for Unity – Kashmir Marathon 2025 is scheduled for October 2, 2025, at the Police Golf Course in Srinagar. This marathon will feature 12 different categories, promoting extensive participation from athletes and fitness enthusiasts. Both events are organized under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) of the J&K Police. During the meeting, Anand Jain reviewed and finalized various arrangements to ensure the successful execution of these events. Key areas of focus included traffic management, police personnel deployment, security measures, medical facilities and emergency care, transportation and telecommunications support, media coverage, and hospitality for athletes. The meeting was attended by several officials, including Junaid Mehmood, DIG IRP Kashmir, and representatives from various wings and sports associations, highlighting the collaborative effort involved in organizing these significant events.
