2 vehicles involved in illegal transportation of minerals seized in Awantipora; Police

Srinagar : Police on Friday said that it has seized two vehicles involved in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals in Awantipora area.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a Police party of Police Station Awantipora headed by SHO Police Station Awantipora seized two vehicles bearing registration numbers JK03H-1515(dumper) and a JCB without registration number involved in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals in Awantipora area.
Stating that a case under FIR No. 183/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Awantipora besides initiating further investigation Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement appealed people to come forward with any information regarding illegal mining activities in their neighbourhood, assuring thereubn strict action against the violators as per law.
