Srinagar : Senior citizens from the industries and commerce department in the north visited the residence of Lt Haji Shaikh Mohammed Ashraf, the former General Manager of DIC Baramulla, to express their condolences following his passing.
Notable attendees included Farooq Din and A.G. Kirmani from Srinagar, as well as A.G. Bhat from Bandipora. Abdul Rashid Sheikh recited verses from the Quran, highlighting the importance of maintaining good relationships within the community. He also spoke about Lt. Sheikh’s significant contributions to the public and his subordinates. A.G. Bhat shared his sorrow over the loss and recited additional Quranic verses. Condolences were conveyed from various individuals, including Feroz Ahmad Adam of the Legends Group of Kashmir and retired Deputy Commissioner Abdul Rashid Lone, among others. Abdul Rashid Sheikh represented several retired officers in extending their condolences to the bereaved family. A Fateh Khani was later organized to pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul. The efforts of Manzoor .Hussain Bukhari in organizing the mourning visit were commended, as was the contribution of Mr. B.A. Pandith in this regard.
