Samba: Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan Wednesday undertook a comprehensive inspection of rain-ravaged areas across the district to assess damages, oversee relief operations, and reassure the affected populace of the administration’s unwavering support.
At the Community Hall, Samba, where families displaced by the incessant rains have been sheltered, the DC reviewed the facilities and directed officials to guarantee adequate arrangements for food, shelter, sanitation, and other critical amenities.
Subsequently, she visited Samba town, Sangwali Mandi, and Purmandal, where several residential houses and private properties had sustained damage. She interacted empathetically with affected residents, heard their grievances, and assured them of timely relief and rehabilitation. The DC instructed all concerned departments to initiate immediate, result-oriented measures to mitigate hardships.
At AIIMS Vijaypur, Sudan conducted an on-site inspection of the damaged bridge and reviewed precautionary measures for public safety. Later, during her visit to Smailpur and Bari Brahmana, she examined rising water levels in local ponds and directed the concerned officers to implement urgent remedial steps to safeguard habitations.
The DC also inspected the PHC Purmandal, ensuring that adequate medical staff, medicines and emergency response facilities are in place to meet the public health exigencies arising out of the situation.
While addressing the people, Sudan reaffirmed that the district administration stands resolutely committed to the safety, dignity, and well-being of every citizen. She assured that all possible steps are being undertaken to provide prompt relief, restore normalcy, and strengthen resilience against such natural adversities.
During the visit, ACR Samba, SDM, Tehsildar, BDOs & other concerned officers were also present.
