Jammu | Aug , 28 : A jawan of Border Security Force (BSF) on Thursday died while performing duty in Akhnoor sector of Jammu division, officials said.
The BSF Jammu posted on X, “We pay solemn tribute to BSF braveheart Constable (GD) Rajib Nunia, who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty while serving the nation on August 27 during operational deployment along the International Border in the Akhnoor area of District Jammu.
“He attained martyrdom with unwavering courage, commitment, and dedication. His sacrifice will always be remembered and honoured.” The DG BSF and all ranks express their deepest condolences to his family.
As per reports, the jawan believed to have died of drowning in flash floods while manning the post in Pargwal area of Akhnoor.
