Srinagar : The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar has successfully completed the admission process for the 2025 B.Tech batch, admitting over 871 candidates across eight engineering disciplines from August 20 to 24, 2025.
In a statement issued here on Monday Dean of Academic Affairs, Prof. B.A. Mir, highlighted the professionalism and transparency of the process, noting that the admissions were conducted efficiently with teams working long hours to ensure a smooth experience for students and parents. A record of 231 candidates was admitted in a single day, showcasing the effectiveness of the admission team, which included Associate Deans and various support staff. Prof. Mir acknowledged the contributions of the Dean of Student Welfare and essential services, emphasizing the comprehensive support provided to families during the admissions. The final round of counseling for remaining B.Tech seats is scheduled for August 28, alongside Ph.D. admissions. Director Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia congratulated the new students and commended the academic team’s efforts, reaffirming NIT Srinagar’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and fostering a vibrant academic environment. Registrar Prof. Atikur Rehman expressed satisfaction with the admission arrangements, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in achieving a seamless process. Parents of newly admitted students expressed gratitude for the well-coordinated efforts, praising the professionalism and support provided throughout the admission experience. Overall, the successful completion of the admission process reflects the dedication and collaborative spirit of the NIT Srinagar community.
