DC takes stock of Road construction, restoration work, Disaster Preparedness

Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma Monday conducted a whirlwind tour of Kotranka Subdivision to inspect ongoing development works, assess disaster preparedness and address public grievances.
During the visit, the DDC inspected the PMGSY road from Peeri to Tarkassi and directed officials to expedite the pace of work to ensure timely completion. He instructed that the field officials shall remain stationed in their stations until the project is completed. He further directed the AEE PMGSY to establish an office near the Zonal Education Office, Kotranka & closely monitor the progress of all ongoing PMGSY projects in the subdivision.
The DDC also reviewed disaster preparedness measures and assessed damages caused by recent rainfall. He directed ACD to prioritise disaster relief works, especially in areas that have reported damages.
During the visit, the DC met with local people and listened to their grievances and issued on-the-spot directions for the redressal of the same.
ACD Auqil Naveed; Tehsildar Syed Sahil Ali; Executive Engineer PMGSY, and other district and sectoral officers accompanied the District Development Commissioner during the visit.
