Samba | : The District Youth Services and Sports Office (DYSSO) Samba, under the aegis of Director General Anuradha Gupta, inaugurated the Inter-Zonal District Level sports Competition for U-19 Boys in the disciplines of Judo, Kabaddi, Badminton, Volleyball, Chess and Yoga.
The grand sporting event, held at the Indoor Sports Stadium Samba, was meticulously supervised by DYSSO Dharmvir Singh and ZPEO.
In his address, the DYSSO urged the participants to immerse themselves wholeheartedly in such competitions, emphasizing that sports not only build physical fitness but also instill discipline, teamwork and resilience in youth.
The tournament witnessed an enthusiastic participation of 153 players drawn from across five zones of the district.
A pledge was also taken by the participants to further increase involvement in games and to abstain from drugs, reinforcing the message of a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
The DYSSO Samba extended heartfelt appreciation to all participants, noting that their dedication, discipline and sportsmanship exemplify the true spirit of youth. Their collective efforts contributed to the resounding success of this prestigious inter-zonal competition.
