Baramulla | :  Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, Thursday chaired a meeting of the District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) to review and approve cases under the Jammu & Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP).

During the meeting, the committee approved 164 cases for the year 2025-26, enabling unemployed youth of the district to avail financial assistance from banks for establishing income-generating units. The cases were thoroughly scrutinized to assess their viability before being recommended for credit linkage through financial institutions.

Speaking on the occasion, DC said that the approval of 164 cases under JKREGP will provide unemployed youth an opportunity to establish income-generating units, thereby promoting entrepreneurship, boosting the local economy, and creating sustainable employment avenues in the district.
