Poonch | : One day training cum orientation programme was organized Tuesday at Dak Bungalow, Poonch for YUVA Doots and Business Help Desks (BHDs) under Mission YUVA, as per the directions of the Director, Employment Department, J&K.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of ADDC Pankaj Magotra, who is the nodal officer of the Mission Yuva in the district and Joint Director Employment S. Paramjeet Singh, who served as a chief Guest at the training session.
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) emphasized the YUVA Doots and BHDs to show greater seriousness and tangible progress in their fieldwork. He also stressed the importance of accountability and instructed the team to ensure consistent follow-ups and increased outreach to potential entrepreneurs.
The Joint Director Employment highlighted the importance of Mission YUVA in promoting youth entrepreneurship and employment in Jammu & Kashmir. He commended the work done so far and emphasized the need for sustained field-level engagement and timely support to potential beneficiaries.
The programme aimed to act as a refresher training, focusing on enhancing the functional understanding, responsibilities, and field coordination of the YUVA Doots and BHDs—who are the crucial grassroots-level functionaries of the Mission.
The event commenced with a welcome address by the Deputy Director Employment Poonch Abdul Majid Tantray JKAS who also presented a comprehensive overview of Mission YUVA. The presentation covered the core objectives, implementation strategies, expected outcomes, and the role of key stakeholders, with a specific focus on how YUVA Doots and BHDs act as direct touchpoints for aspiring entrepreneurs at the community level.
The technical sessions of the day included detailed briefings on the roles, responsibilities, and operational guidelines for YUVA Doots and BHDs. A live demonstration of the YUVA web portal and mobile application was also conducted to enhance the digital proficiency of the field workers, enabling them to better support beneficiaries and maintain real-time data.
Adding a crucial perspective to the proceedings, the Lead District Manager, J&K Bank, addressed the participants and provided insights into the banking procedures and documentation requirements necessary for the successful and timely disbursement of loans under the scheme. His session helped clarify several doubts related to bank-related formalities and eased concerns about delays in processing.
The latter half of the training featured an interactive question-and-answer session, which facilitated in-depth discussions around operational challenges, portal usage, and field experiences. All participant queries were addressed in detail by the resource persons.
As a gesture of encouragement, three top-performing YUVA Doots were felicitated with certificates of appreciation for their exemplary work and dedication to the Mission.
The programme concluded with positive feedback from the participants. Both YUVA Doots and BHDs expressed gratitude for the training, stating that the session had clarified their doubts and strengthened their understanding of their roles.
