Samba | : Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan convened a meeting Tuesday at the DC Office Samba to review the Change of Land Use (CLU) applications.
A total of seven cases were examined threadbare with inputs from all concerned departments. Following careful deliberations, one case was accorded approval, four were rejected and two cases were kept pending receipt of the requisite NOCs. The balanced approach reflects the administration’s resolve to permit only those land use conversions that are legally sound, environmentally sustainable and aligned with developmental priorities.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that adherence to statutory norms, regulatory provisions, and prescribed timelines constitutes the sine qua non for the approval of CLU cases. She stressed upon the officers to exercise due diligence while scrutinizing proposals, thereby ensuring that the process remains fair, transparent, and efficient.
The meeting was attended by ACR, Ajay Bharti, Executive Engineers and other concerned officers, who actively participated and provided technical and procedural clarifications on individual cases.
